Give an example of how you have innovated in the cloud space and shunned the status quo.
Ten years ago, I believed the cloud was going to be the future of IT. When I heard about Jo & Manon’s idea to start a female forward cloud think tank, Cloud Girls, I jumped right in, becoming a founding member. Since then, I’ve been an active member of Cloud Girls serving in many leadership roles that help to mold the future of the organization.
How have you created a corporate vision for cloud services in your organization?
When I built Optimized Channel, I did so with the vision to help cloud companies generate revenue by selling their services through indirect channel partners. My team and I serve as virtual channel chiefs creating indirect channel programs, contracts, enablement and go-to-market strategies allowing for our cloud clients to successfully sell their services.
What examples can you share of your ability to motivate your employees and team members around cloud services?
Five years ago, I worked in the IBM Cloud Division. I was promoted to a new role supporting IBM’s Healthcare & BioTech Independent Software Vendors (ISV). My job was to help the ISV use IBM Cloud technology to digitally transform their organization. The IBM team that I now worked with were made up of former IBM employees who had worked in the hardware and software division. For my team I was a key source of information regarding cloud services. Not only did I provide informal cloud training for my team, I also offered to be “the go to person” for side conversations related to Cloud.
